Our competitions are leveled: dancers compete in the Future Star, Rising Star, and All Star divisions, based on training and experience at the time of competition, to create an atmosphere of learning and enjoyment for all dancers. Our conventions are full day dance workshops focusing on technique, training, and real-world experience. We’ve created a teachers round-table discussion, and offer a format for a constructive and positive Dancers Inc. weekend! Your dancers will return to class motivated, excited, and filled with the spirit of dance.
Dancers Inc. has established Scholarship opportunities with Universities and Advanced Learning Institutions such as Sacred Heart in Connecticut, and Relativity in Hollywood, CA., to mention just a few…. Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept independent entries for your competitions?
All entries seeking to enter competition must be signed off on by a studio director. Please call our office for more details regarding registering independently.
Should I enter my piece as Future, Rising, or All Star?
Consider the divisions as a Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced. Less than 3 years of formal dance training is considered Future Star, whether in the Junior or Senior category. Rising Star is 4 to 6 years of formal dance training, and All Star is 6 or more years of formal training. All groups are based on the average number of years of formal training.
As a teacher, am I allowed to compete with my students?
Dancers Inc. features a “Teacher” division for entries with teacher participation. This division is separate from the Future, Rising and All Star divisions. If 5 or more “Teacher” numbers are entered in a given competition we will give additional prizes for that division. Teachers are not eligible to compete for titles in National competitions.
How do your event schedules run?

Competition can begin on Friday, no earlier than 4 PM with Teen/Senior Solos, possibly duo/trios (ages 13 and up); Competition continues on Saturday & Sunday with final awards scheduled no later than 11PM on Saturday, 8:30PM on Sunday.

5 hours of class plus warm up. 2 classrooms available: beginner/intermediate (ages 12 and under), and advanced (ages 13 and up). Classes offered vary from traditional styles to contemporary and fusion classes. Convention is typically held on Sunday during a regional event but may be scheduled on Friday evening due to show size.
Schedules are released directly to the studio 10-days prior to the start of the event. All schedules are tentative until published.
How do i qualify for your National Finals?
Any dancer receiving a silver award or higher is eligible to compete at nationals. Bronze and honorable mention awards, however, must re-compete at the Regional Level and score at least silver to qualify for nationals.
